Prevention from food loss

In my previous atricles i told uhh the food wastage and its impacts on society, envivronment water and many more things.
My this article is about the methods for conservation of food and prevention of food wastage.

●(Shop Smart)

Most of the peoples buy bulk of grocessy and foot at once this leads to more food wastage.
To avoid buying more food than you need, make frequent trips to the grocery store every few days rather than doing a bulk shopping trip once a week. Make a point to use up all the food you purchased during the last trip to the market before buying more groceries. Additionally, try making a list of items that you need to buy and stick to that list. This will help you reduce impulse buying and reduce food waste as well.

●(Store Food Correctly)

Many peoples have no source of storage of food and if some have the source they dont know how to store food and this improper way of storing the food increases the food wastage.
Many people are unsure how to store fruits and vegetables, which can lead to premature ripening and, eventually, rotten produce. For instance, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, cucumbers and onions should never be refrigerated. These items should be kept at room temperature. Separating foods that produce more ethylene gas from those that don’t is another great way to reduce food spoilage. Ethylene promotes ripening in foods and could lead to spoilage.
Foods that produce ethylene gas while ripening include:
Bananas
Avocados
Tomatoes
Cantaloupes
Peaches
Pears
Green onions
Keep these foods away from ethylene-sensitive produce like potatoes, apples, leafy greens, berries and peppers to avoid premature spoilage.

●(Understand Expiration Dates)

The thing no longer be used.
In fact, the task is often left to food producers to determine the date they think a product is most likely to spoil by. The truth is, most food that has just passed its expiration date is still safe to eat.
“Sell by” is used to inform retailers when the product should be sold or removed from the shelves. “Best by” is a suggested date that consumers should use their products by.
Neither of these terms means that the product is unsafe to eat after the given date. While many of these labels are ambiguous, “use by” is the best one to follow. This term means that the food may not be at its best quality past the listed date. A movement is now underway to make the food expiration labeling system more clear for consumers. In the meantime, use your best judgment when deciding whether food that is slightly past its expiration date is safe to eat.

There are many more other methods to which we can prevent the food wastage
As we can donate the food to any enGIO
As in maraige cermonies the remaining food instead of throwing can be given to hungry poor peoples that actually need this food.
And in many more ways we cant prevent the food wastage and save many live by saving food.

Sharing with hungry

We always share photos but never share food
Because we are not intreseted in others we don't want to know that what others are doing how they are living and what they have.
These things doesn't mean to us
We share food with friends but not with needy peoples not with hungry peoples becauses they don't belong with us
Every year a large amount of food is wastage but cant shared with needy peoples who actually need them ya but shared with those peoples who takes 1 bite from 1 plate 2nd bite from other plate and 3rd bite from an other plate but we cant share our food

In recent research the researchers have found that peoples are dieing more by hunger then the diseases.

If we have think that we waste our food then we have to waste our food on needy peoples. By this way we can waste the food by saving many lives.
If you share food means you arw sharing happines

Food waste means Water waste

 Hello!
As we 1st discused about the impact of food foolishes on environment that how they are harming us, how they are making our enivornment polluted?
Here i will tell you that how the food foolers are harming our lives by just wasting the food?
About 21 percent of the water that is used to grow our food is wasted because of the magnitude of food is wastage.
The world is teetering on the edge of a food crisis due to the growing population, soaring food prices, and water scarcity, yet a shocking one third of the food produced around the world goes to waste.
This food waste would reduce the water needed for agriculture, which is responsible for the consumption of 70% of freshwater resources.

As the freshwater resoureses are diminshing down then how the future generation can survive because the basic need of life the "Water" will not be available at that time that they can use to grow food. If food is not grown they cant survive thus the mortality rate increases due to hunger.

If we want to get rid from this problem first of all we all must aware of our responsibilities, we have to use food in proper way ,we have to shop smart, we have good food stores where the food is store without being spoil

We all are harming our environment.

Food waste is one of the more important issues facing the country, yet most people are not aware of this pervasive issue and the impact it is having on our environment.
When food waste decomposes in a landfill without oxygen, this creates an anaerobic sequence that produces the methane, which is approximately 20 times more harmful to the atmosphere than carbon dioxide.  This in turn contributes to the destruction of the ozone layer, which can lead to higher temperatures around the globe.

Another dangerous outcome of so much food wastage being dumped into landfills is the amount of groundwater pollution it creates. When it rains on landfills, the water allows for toxic chemicals, such as ammonia, to develop. These chemicals can leach into drinking water supplies and could also reach bodies of water such as lakes or rivers, killing the living organisms that inhabit those environments. Both groundwater and surface water are highly polluted when in close distance from a landfill.

Just living near a landfill can cause harm to humans due to air pollution that has been linked to respiratory diseases and even types of cancer.  This is due to the fact that gases produced from a landfill do not stay complacent, as they are able to find their way into homes and businesses in the surrounding area. Due to the massive amounts of waste that is left there, landfills have also been known to ignite large fires. This further allows for dangerous chemicals to fill the air and pollute bodies of water. Wildlife such as birds and mammals that scavenge for food at the dump are also at risk.
A common sense way to help prevent food waste is to create a better system for date labeling on food products

Waste not ,Want not

hello everyone, I am  Pawan Kumar. I am the student of DPT at jpmc karachi and this is my first blog about our  foolish habit.Food is one of the most important resource of our daily diet.

Good food is a basic need of human body. It is of prime importance in the attainment of normal growth and development.Food wastage is a big problem in this modern society because everyone has unlimited wants, but doesn’t have strong awareness on the limited resources.
Food waste can cause damages to the environment and impacts to the other resources such as water, economy, export import, sucide rate, and many other. By wasting food we also waste the "time, money and energy" that we have used to produce the food and as well our "natural resources" and the limited "agricultural land".The figures pertaining to food waste all over the world amount to about 1.3 billion tons per year. The Pakistan ranks with serious hunger level, according to a report the 40% of the food is wated in Pakistan every year that is about 36 million tons.It is very disheartening to know that in Pakistan people fill up their plates but eat little and thus are totally wasting the food but never bother themselves to provide this food to the poor  According to UN and FAO all around the world tonnes of food is wasted while around 952 million people are suffering from hunger. According to FAO the wastage of food in a year equals half of the world’s annual cereal crops. In a wedding party for instance, there are more than 25 dishes and half of all dishes are wasted.

I request people to stop wasting food and throwing the food in dustbins, instead they should provide the food to poor people
